The UX team is proactively delivering exciting, simple and elegant customer experiences. You will be empowered to encourage teams to go beyond what is possible and pursue forward-thinking design to build products that enrich people’s lives and that drive engagement and dedication to Kijiji. You'll need strong attention to detail of course, as well as an eagerness to resolve difficult design problems.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

  • Solving for product problems by owning all components of the experience (Design strategy, user flows, prototypes, IA, interaction design and visual design).
  • Seek to find that sweet spot between customer needs, business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Facilitate workshops and present your work to the user experience, product and engineering team for review and critique.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent collaboration, written and verbal communication with the ability to clearly articulate your design concepts.
  • History of shipping outstanding experiences, specifically on mobile but also seamlessly on desktop and tablet.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced agile product development environment, following design principles and technical requirements.
  • Experience developing end-to-end, accessible, user experiences & modern visual designs.
  • Proficiency with using industry leading design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.
  • Comfortable and confident with running supervised or unmonitored user tests.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a UX related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in any of the following: Human Factors, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Information Architecture, New Media Design, Product and Interface Design or related field.
  • Complete understanding of the established principles of design, information flow and accessibility.
  • A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating critical thinking and creativity. (showing your thought process as much as your finished work)
