About the team:

The Buyer Engagement Marketing team at eBay is responsible for deeply understanding the needs of our customers and helping them grow on eBay. We work closely with local and global teams to help our buyers find their version of 'perfect' from our best sellers. We are an energetic group of marketing professionals passionate about making a positive difference for our customers.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Growth Marketing Manager to lead our CLV, customer lifecycle and growth marketing programs, from new customer acquisition and nursery through to joining eBay Plus - our subscription loyalty program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the AU region's customer lifecycle strategies based on deep customer insights.

  • Owning the region's pricing competitiveness strategy and driving execution within and outside your team

  • Creating a clear customer insights and learning agenda to deliver personalized and relevant propositions to our customers

  • Managing a team of dedicated marketing professionals to execute your strategies

  • Collaborating with world-class global product and marketing teams to bring your vision to life

  • The scope of this role is significant and includes leading all of the region's owned channel marketing, including eBay's Home Page, email, and merchandising activities, as well as eBay's deals program 

About you:

We are looking for a proven marketing leader who can lead and inspire a team while also able to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. Strong candidates have outstanding analytical, creative and communication skills. They navigate easily across functions to make an impact, enjoy fast paced environments and are comfortable operating in ambiguity. Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a similar field (Masters desirable)

  • 10+ years commercial experience in a similar / relevant industry or role

  • Top-tier consulting experience is a plus

  • A problem-solving leader, with a strong analytical background and a ‘test and learn’ approach

  • Creative and commercially-minded; comes up with novel ways to identify and capture big opportunities

  • A strong bias for action; capable of making great things happen quickly and happy to roll up their sleeves to get things done when needed

  • People leadership experience and an ability to drive impact across functions
