About the role

To help our sellers succeed, it's important that communications from eBay are clear, easy to understand and use the right tone.
This role is all about getting to know the different types of businesses and entrepreneurs who sell with us and how they each perceive eBay differently. It's crucial to understand what's important to them, which tools and features help them meet their business objectives and how they like to be spoken to.
As the internal seller ambassador, you'll share these insights with our global teams and help them shape seller-facing communications.
- 10+ years’ experience in Branding and/or Marketing Strategy, ideally working in tech/retail companies or advising them.
- Experience working with a diverse set of partners, including senior leaders.
- Experience briefing and working with research agencies.
- Flexible worker - needs to be able to accommodate occasional early/late meetings and calls with line manager and/or colleagues in other continents.
- Understanding of the cultural differences between English-speaking countries and how to optimally adapt/localize global communications.
- Confident communicator.
- Understanding of basic psychology. Able to empathize with different seller personas.
