The Global Marketing Organization is responsible for working with business partners across the organization to develop, execute and optimize marketing strategies, campaigns and programs. Market Lead, Global Market Activation

The Market Activation team leads as the key strategic partner to our markets on behalf of our customers. We are focused on enabling efficient delivery of best in class campaigns, programs and partnerships while streamlining the flow of information and inspiration to foster diversity of thinking and trust across the teams.

As a Market Lead you will sit within the Global Market Activation Team, embedded in your regional marketing team for the day-to-day. The role will be focused on our partnership with the US with the aim to enhance the strategy and related execution by the Market, connecting the dots with the key subject matter experts within the Global Marketing Organization, helping them efficiently navigate to answers and solutions.

This is a newly forming function, and though the objective is set out, the way in which we meet it is to be formed. This role will be a key leader in defining that, through collaboration and influence.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of marketing experience with demonstrated career progression and leadership.
  • Highly analytical, possesses attention to detail, curious, self-starter and customer-centric.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally across multiple teams.
  • Strong insights-based marketing strategy skills, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into solid customer insights.
  • Ability to think customer first and drive positive experiences for eBay customers through marketing programs.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a global team.
  • Available to work in San Francisco or San Jose, California
