Supermarket & Mother Group Sr. Manager

The Group Category Sr. Manager is responsible for leading and developing the operational and commercial relationship of sellers within a set of designated categories which are Mother & Baby, Supermarket, Pet, Toys & Hobby Categories. This position will lead a team of 9 employees; 4 Category Managers directly and 5 Category Specialists indirectly. Group Category Sr. Manager will report to Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Determining annual and seasonal category strategies by evaluating national and international developments in the sector, data regarding categories past practice and performance, and the targeted customer needs and expectations

  • Defining the category targets and monitor and support the team’s performance.

  • Understand merchant business needs in an ever-changing business environment and resolve success criteria accordingly,

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, activities, and strategies.

  • Working with the key merchants on expanding selection and adding new merchants to the platform to ensure balanced growth and maximize revenue,

  • Optimize product assortment, listings quality, supervising the pricing strategy in the related category, and merchandising campaigns.

  • Storm and present campaign ideas in coordination with the marketing team and sellers.

  • Understand merchant business needs in an ever-changing business environment and resolve success criteria accordingly,

  • Lead and mentor direct and indirect reports to achieve targets.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics from an accredited university

  • At least 7 years experience in e-commerce/category management, and related categories, especially mother&baby category

  • Handling marketplace and carrying P&L responsibility.

  • In-depth understanding of the tools, processes, internal partners, and business and community aspects associated with risk operations

  • Experience in building productive relationships with key partners.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office

  • An excellent level of English is required.
