This is an opening for a highly skilled Tech Lead / Senior Backend Developer (d/f/m) who is passionate about bringing valuable products to our customers! The role sits within the Product- and Tech- organization and directly partners with other specialists, UX, Frontend Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Managers.

Build phenomenal products for our users in an iterative, test-and-learn driven and scalable way
Successfully partner with team members from Product, UX, Backend, Frontend and Data to support building smart web products
Help to raise the overall skill and quality level through pairing and design/code reviews
Grow our healthy and sustainable microservice and data infrastructure
Drive your own ideas for code and process improvement and achieve the next level together with the team
Good experience in building microservices and distributed systems and a understanding of web tech
Several years of experience as a Java 8+ developer with a deep understanding of the surrounding technology ecosystem; Experience in Scala is a plus
Experience with NoSQL (e.g. Mongo, Cassandra) and SQL databases and high-throughput data related architecture and technologies (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Hadoop)
You write clean, well-maintainable code
Ideally, you are curious about machine learning algorithms and libraries
You have the desire to quickly learn new technologies and be pragmatic about the choice of tools that fits the situation
You believe in lean and agile development (Kanban / Scrum) in multi-functional teams and are convinced that responsibility for your work does not end with the deployment
Experience with continuous delivery systems and build tools (Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Maven, SBT)
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
