(Senior) Market Researcher Marketing & Incubation

About the team:

We are currently expanding our team of market researchers within's Business Insights team. By combining high quality market research and analytics insights we enable our business partners to develop, drive, and implement their strategy. Our mission is to put the customer first, harnessing best-in-class methodologies.

About the role:

·Be a proactive and visible consultant for business leads, marketing partners and as integral part of cross-functional incubation teams. Build empathy for our customers across the organization and drive the perfect balance with business value.

·Understand business & marketing needs and derive applicable research designs from business objectives.

·Independently lead ad-hoc research projects as well as regular research trackers, mostly working with external agencies. Studies will be quantitative or multi-method-design projects including both, qualitative & quantitative parts.

·Discover, evaluate, and monitor key long-term trends, brand health & positioning, marketing effectiveness, and incubation potentials, threads and opportunities.

·Create and present valuable insights that enrich business analysis. Derive clear recommendations to advise decision-making for business growth strategy, marketing and communication, and development of new products and services.

·Naturally mentor others to apply research insights and be ready to work with multiple business partners with different skills/knowledge, flexing your style to influence and deliver.

·Support the Market Research Lead in strategic topics, implementing quality standards and innovative ways to further increase our impact.

·Partner closely with research & analytics colleagues in our global Adevinta* community by sharing knowledge and aligning global approaches with local business needs.

What are we are looking for?

·At least 3 years working experience within market research, marketing or media agency or department. Leading complex research projects with management of external partner agencies and freelancers.

·Very good market research skills with focus on quantitative methods, esp. marketing & brand research, brand health monitoring, and evaluation of marketing effectiveness, market positioning & incubation potentials. Knowledge in qualitative market research methods is a distinct advantage.

·Analytical mind set and sound understanding of advanced statistics combined with strategical intuition for business and the ability to put research insights into context.

·Comfort in agile environments, from cross-functional teams up to higher management.

·Advanced-level knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools, e.g. SPSS or R.

·Basic to good understanding of marketing & media analytics.

·Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, psychology, social sciences, statistics or similar.

·Experience in e-commerce, automotive or other commercial retail is highly desired but not a must have.

·Excellent communications and presentation skills in English and German (mandatory), and a great sense for team spirit and collaboration.
