About the team

As the Global Capabilities Team (CAPS) we offer our local brands a portfolio of capabilities along the end customer journey that speeds up time to market across the eBay Classifieds Group. Our global teams develop and innovate a broad variety of central solutions and services. 

We closely partner with our local peers on efficient integrations of our capabilities that create valuable experiences for our end customers and the business. We are a diverse and highly motivated team. Data is the voice of our customers and helps us to define the common goals we work towards as one team.

Being part of CAPS, the First Party Advertising technology team is looking for a Product Manager to strengthen the team. We are building an internally used advertising engine combined with seller tools, to deliver shopping listings to the multiple platforms we have within the eBay Classifieds Group. Some of our complexities is the high traffic and volume demand, high uptime, handling click-fraud and optimising the listings being shown.

Description

You will be responsible for helping to shape the future of our First Party Advertising technology. You know how to build a product based of customer needs, and you are able to create a vision and articulate it in an inspiring and data driven manner.

You will be the thought leader that will inspire stakeholders to deliver against the strategic goals you set.

As you are an ambassador of the company strategy, local business needs and the end customer, you empower your teams by setting the right priorities.

It will be your job to define priorities, lead the roadmap and handle trade-offs toward upholding our high bar for first party advertising.

Building effective relationships with stakeholders in a global setup comes natural to you. In close partnership with local business and product peers you ideate, define, experiment and craft impactful value propositions. You ensure reliable feedback loops from end-users to improve existing services and solutions or drive innovation in your portfolio.

What we’re looking for:

·3+ years Product Management experience;

·Ability to build and drive a compelling product vision and strategy for a complex product;

·Experience in stakeholder management on a global scale;

·Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Able to frame problems, collect data, perform the analysis, arrive at valid conclusions and present the data and metrics to influence others;

·Resourceful with ability to get things done. Capable of operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, across multiple teams and balancing multiple priorities;

·Natural consensus-builder and collaborative decision-making style across partners, senior management, commercial, design & engineering teams;

·Self-motivated and results driven. You challenge the status quo with the ability to articulate a path to get there;

·Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal/presentation. You should have experience communicating and influencing at multiple levels of an organization

·Ability to quickly follow-up on impediments – having a ‘can-do’ attitude;

·Naturally collaborative and supportive

·Understanding of the Advertising space and experience with first party advertising is a plus

·You have at least a bachelor’s degree.

Covid-19
