We are looking for a talented Head of Brand & Content Marketing with a proven track record in Marketing & Communications to drive the development & the execution of our Brand and Content marketing strategy for eCG Benelux across our brand portfolio (Marktplaats.nl, 2dehands.be and 2ememain.be).

Reporting to the CMO, the role requires an agile and innovative thinker, fluent in all areas of content marketing and with a deep experience in how effective StoryTelling can position the company for future growth. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong ability to develop efficient communication bridges across Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Research, Finance, PR, Legal, and various agency partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as our brand custodian, responsible for driving brand alignment within the organization, leading the embedding efforts of our purpose led brand positioning that support our company mission & strategic pillars.

  • In close collaboration with various teams and agencies, develop an annual content strategy, content topics, and timelines for delivery and oversee the development and production of content in line with ambitious creative standards

  • Lead a team of talents to create and deploy on-brand content strategies & assets for multiple audiences& channels, working in a data-driven and agile manner to harness short & long term opportunities identified by the team

  • Champion an innovative team culture and engaging ways of elevating our creative agenda and use all available intel to ensure that our content is relevant and thought-leading.

  • Manage agency relationships covering e.g. performance evaluation, contractual and financial agreements.

  • Ensure outstanding & relevant brand presence across the funnel, continuously optimized based on relevant user data

  • Develop & leverage productive partnerships with teams across the organization to ensure our content delivery raises the bar and helps influencing behavioral / mindset changes with our consumers, while reaching our business objectives.

Skillsets

  • Minimum 8 / 10 years experience at an agency, publishing, client-side, or a mix

  • 5+ years in a management role with solid ability to build, guide, inspire teams to develop best-in-class content strategies

  • Strong knowledge of content development, connections planning and brand management fundamentals and strategies to co-develop best-in-class integrated campaigns with relevant marketing teams

  • Solid experience with Integrated Marketing planning & delivery processes including research initiation and proposition development.

  • Strong digital skills, experience with e.g. CRM, native advertising, dynamic content development.

  • Knows the current and emerging digital platforms, including content development best practices and trends that inspire and push our work

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a structured yet adaptable work-style - able to work well in a fast-paced team environment while having a focus on quality, and good attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills with strong ability to present / engage with C-suite

  • Full English professional proficiency (written and verbal) is required
