About the team
The Global Product Analytics team supports global and local teams to improve and innovate our offer to the customers, and confirm the top 1 position of our marketplaces.

We are based in Amsterdam, but our global role leads us to work closely with teams based in Berlin, Barcelona and Paris, and partner-up with some of our 8,000+ colleagues from all over the word.

As part of the Global Analytics Community, our goal is to ensure that every decision across the organisation, big and small, is driven by data insights: "We make decisions data-driven, by providing high-value data, deep insights, and addictive tools."

Our projects revolve around a variety of data topics such as performing user behaviour and segmentation analyses, identifying factors that drive conversion and retention, enhancing safety and building trust, measuring success along the funnel, conducting competitive research and many more.

The role:
Adevinta is currently investing globally in one of the strategic priorities: the transactional transformation. We are looking for an experienced analyst to join this journey!

The perfect candidate will be a strategic thinker with experience working with large datasets, and will enjoy seeing insights turned into impactful business decisions. This role is heavily cross-functional and ideal for candidates who enjoy both defining and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to offer the best transactional products to our customers.
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions.
  • Structure complex, ambiguous business questions and apply analytical skills to synthesise insights for our leadership team.
  • Design, plan, and implement dashboards to measure successes of initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other analysts, data scientists and data engineers to maximise the impact of analytics across the group.

What we are looking for:
  • Education: BA/BS in an analytical field.
  • 5+ years of experience with applied statistics or experimentation.
  • Experience communicating results to non-technical audiences and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in at least one data querying language (preferably SQL, Hive or Hadoop) and data science tools (R, Python,...).
  • Efficient when working with a multitude of disparate data sources and tools.
  • Familiar with Tableau and building impactful dashboards.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and defining business requirements related to large scale data warehousing projects.
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining a high degree of organisation and control.
  • People-oriented: eager to build positive and productive relationships with a variety of international partners and draw upon their skills when needed.

What we offer:

  • Meaningful Work: We are a diverse, international, highly skilled and passionate team committed to a world where people share more and waste less. Every day you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference for our users, customers as well as shape the future.
  • Flexibility: We believe that work is what you do, not where you do it. So we provide mobile work and flexible hours that gives you the autonomy, and scope to set your own working patterns and agendas. We empower our teams and people to decide which key moments they want to spend face to face, instead of fixing a number of office days.
  • Work-Life Balance: Our people really do come first and we have lots of options for greater work-life balance, including four weeks work from anywhere per year, part-time work, plus an additional three months fully-paid parental leave time.
  • Growth and Development: We are a global organisation who truly believes in growing our people. To support this we offer lots of development and training opportunities as well as providing a budget for our team members.
  • Competitive Compensation: We know that our people are the key to our success and our compensation packages reflect this.
  • Connection and Inclusion: Our culture is the glue that holds us together. We believe in making meaningful connections and creating an inclusive atmosphere with lots of opportunities to connect both in your day to day work and through social team activities (online and offline).

Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. Whether you’re single, in a growing family, or nearing retirement, Adevinta* offers a variety of comprehensive and competitive benefit programs to meet your needs.

People are the heart of Adevinta*, and their health and well-being are our first priority. We continue to monitor local government guidance and partner closely with medical advisors to determine the safest and best next steps for everyone. We will discuss the particular case for your region during the interview process. As a general rule, interviews will be completed remotely over video calls.
